SELF-ACUPRESSURE AND HYPNOTHERAPY
Hypnoacutherapy™ (Combining Hypnotherapy + Self-Acupressure)
You can also experience HypnoAcuTherapy™, also known as the 'Power of Two' which combines self-acupressure and hypnotherapy into one session creating a synergistic effect that's much more powerful than when done separately even if we are working virtually.
I will teach you how to do self-acupressure using the infrared energy points of your fingertips to utilize pressure points on the body and stimulate naturally healing and deeper states of relaxation that will best support the hypnotherapy session afterwards.

HypnoAcuTherapyâ„¢ is a gentle, guided form of meditation which is custom-tailored to your individual needs and goals, versus traditional hypnosis which tends to rely on a more rigid or one size fits all approach. And with the addition of self-acupressure and tapping methods, we help to ensure that your body completely relaxes and releases any stagnant energy that may be causing you pain or tension.
No, you will never get stuck. Being in a state of hypnotherapy is like being immersed in a movie that you enjoy. Once the movie is over, you can easily come back to your normal reality. You are always in control during the entire session, and if you want to stop at any point, it’s as easy as pressing the pause button on the remote control by simply letting me know that you’d like to stop.
A suggestive state is one of complete relaxation, which you create by following my suggestions during the session, which enables you to easily implement the changes that you desire regarding your lifestyle and habits.
An analogy would be like that of a software upgrade. Think of your brain as the computer and your habits and beliefs as the software. Your mental habits and beliefs may benefit from an upgrade in order to operate in a more positive and life enhancing way. The key to success here depends on how clear you are about what you wish to achieve.
Each session is approximately 30-40 minutes long.
Please try to avoid experiencing low blood sugar during the session by eating meals on time, and if needed, have a light snack beforehand so that you don’t feel hungry and distracted during the session. Also make sure that you’re well-hydrated before the session by drinking enough water.
After you fill out the intake form, we’ll go through it together to get clear on what you want out of the session. Then, we’ll do a whole body self-acupressure exercise together where I’ll walk you through each step of the process. This will help you to feel more relaxed, while opening up all of the meridians, also known as the life force system in your body.
Next, we’ll go through a hypnotherapy session tailored to your specific needs, which includes positive visualization techniques to help bolster the positive changes that we’re focusing on achieving. To complete the session, we may do additional self-acupressure or tapping method to release any residual stress or tension which could be lingering.
During each step, I’ll guide you through the process in a gentle, safe and easy to follow manner, so that you can completely relax and just follow along.
HypnoAcuTherapyâ„¢ can support you in breaking negative habits like smoking, drinking or biting nails, and it can help with pain management, trauma release, overcoming phobias such as fear of flying, and with implementing positive lifestyle changes such as eating a healthier diet and maintaining an exercise routine.
HypnoAcuTherapy™ is appropriate for most people and situations, however, there’s a pre-questionnaire that you’ll fill out to ensure that you’re a good candidate for this type of therapy. There may be some cases where HypnoAcuTherapy may not be the best option for you. Once you fill out the pre-questionnaire, I’ll confirm whether or not it’s a good fit and discuss this with you.
This depends on each individual. Major life changes and pain management may benefit from ongoing sessions, while stopping smoking and drinking may require a smaller number of sessions to achieve breaking the negative habit for good. General phobias like fear of flying and swimming and trauma release generally require about 2 sessions to achieve favorable results.
No, in fact, it’s beneficial to also work with a psychotherapist while going through HypnoAcuTherapy™ sessions, for the additional support that they can offer. Having medical support such as a psychotherapist, counselor and/or psychiatrist is mandatory for working through trauma issues. With your permission, I can also communicate with your medical team to update them on your progress.
The sessions are performed online via Zoom, but if there’s a poor internet connection, a phone session can be conducted instead and still achieve favorable results.
If possible, try to go for a short 15-20 minute walk immediately afterwards with no distractions and without checking your phone, to help integrate everything from the session within your body and brain.
Please understand that this is NOT a talk therapy session, and the only purpose of discussion after the session is to confirm if we need to do additional self-acupressure or tapping to release any remaining stagnant energy, and to discuss setting up your next appointment if needed. It’s important to be aware of your analytical mind after the session and not let this part of your brain take over by overthinking or being critical of what you’ve just experienced.
It may be helpful after a couple of days to discuss the session with your counselor or psychotherapist if you feel there’s something that needs to be worked through. It’s also recommended to keep a journal during this process to help track your thoughts and feelings.
